Untitled (The Kiss) by Peter Behrens
This is the most famous and popular print published in German literary and art journal, PAN. In this masterpiece of the Jugendstil movement, Behrens envelops the two kissing figures in an abstracted, sinuous design created by their interwoven hair.
This work was featured in the Driehaus Museum’s 2020-2022 exhibition, PAN: Prints of the Avant-Garde Europe 1895-1900.
