Mahony Window Earrings
Mahony Window Earrings are inspired by the stained glass window designed by Marion Mahony (1871-1961) for her favorite brother Gerald Mahony. Mahony, the first woman to obtain an architecture license in Illinois, is considered an original member of the Prairie School. By 1908, she had been working as a draftsman for Frank Lloyd Wright for a decade. Her fluid romantic style of architectural rendering was derived partly from Japanese woodblock prints.
